Her father is an Australian lawyer, James Ernest Curtis Smith. Her father married Ojales at the age of 22 in 1982. Her youngest sibling Jasmine is also an actor. Their father was an older half-sister known as Clare, who passed away in 2007 aged four months due to cardiovascular disease.
